Amar Sharma, Director of Software Engineering, is currently responsible for leading all custom software development for NBCU’s $9B ad sales vertical. Previously, Amar has held a number of positions within NBCU, where he has been responsible for managing and supporting key technical aspects of design, development, configuration, deployments, and operations of a number of platforms within the company. He has been instrumental in designing and operationalizing the digital distribution platform for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, in addition to other areas. Amar joined NBC Universal in 2006 after completing his Bachelor’s Degree from Carnegie Mellon University with a double major in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Biomedical and Health Engineering. He also completed his MBA at Rutgers Business School with a concentration in Finance and Information Systems.
